Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data Freexel processes when you use this website, why we process it, and the choices you have.
Summary
Your images never leave your device. Compression, conversion and background removal run in your browser. We do not receive, store or view them. We do not use advertising, analytics or tracking cookies, and optional storage only happens if you allow it (see the Cookie Policy). An account is optional and, if you create one, we store only your email address, your saved presets, your last-used compression settings and running totals (files processed and space saved).

What we do not do
- We do not sell personal data or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
- We do not run advertising or analytics trackers.
- We do not use your images or presets to train AI models.
- We do not use your data for automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects.

These providers process data under their own terms and privacy policies. We share personal data with them only as needed to operate the service, and we may disclose data when required by law.
International transfers
Our providers may process data in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where required, transfers rely on safeguards such as adequacy decisions, standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms recognized by applicable law.
Retention
- Account data, presets, settings and usage totals: kept until you delete them or your account. Deleted data is removed from active systems promptly; residual backup copies are overwritten in the ordinary course.
- Server logs: kept by the hosting provider for a limited period under its own schedule.
- Emails to us: kept for as long as needed to handle your request and for a reasonable period afterwards.
- Data on your device: kept until you clear your browser storage.
Security
- Passwords are never visible to Freexel. Firebase Authentication stores only salted, hashed credentials.
- Database rules restrict each record to the account that created it.
- All traffic uses HTTPS. Email verification, password reset and Google sign-in are supported.
- We keep the data we collect to a minimum, which limits what could ever be exposed.
No system is perfectly secure. If you believe your account is at risk, change your password and contact us. If a breach affects your data, we will notify you and the relevant authorities where the law requires it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, update, delete or export your personal data, to restrict or object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. This includes rights under the GDPR and UK GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), and Argentina’s Personal Data Protection Law No. 25.326. You will not be treated differently for exercising these rights.
Signed-in users can export or delete their data directly from the account page. For anything else, write to privacy@yourdomain.com. We may need to verify your identity, and we respond within one month or the period required by law.
You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. For residents of Argentina, this is the Agencia de Acceso a la Información Pública (AAIP).
Cookies and local storage
We use two first-party cookies and a small amount of browser storage. A banner lets you accept or refuse everything that is not essential, and you can change your choice at any time with “Cookie settings” in the footer. The full list, purposes and durations are in our Cookie Policy.
Children
Freexel is not directed to children under 13, or under the minimum age required by your local law, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will change the date above and, for material changes, give notice on the website.
